Abiotic Problems - Deicing Salt Stress

In many situations in the upper Midwest, deicing salt damage is the ultimate stress on evergreens, and may occur as run-off into the root zone as the snow and ice melt, or more commonly, as aerial drifting of salt solutions near high use roads.
