CUES: Center for Urban Ecology and Sustainability

Diagnosis Case: Oak

This scale can cause leaf distortion and flagging on terminals. It can also cause leaf yellowing and twig dieback if infestations are severe enough. Fortunately, scales can be monitored when leaves first start to appear. Crawlers emerge in late summer.
