Abiotic Problems - Planting and Transplanting Stresses
Like other plants, evergreens often exhibit stress symptoms after planting, and particularly after transplanting. Transplanting implies that the tree or shrub has been moved from one site (nursery) to another (landscape) and many roots have been lost in the process. Other planting/transplanting stresses that are common include planting too deep, and wires and strings that have been left on too long and have girdled the stems or branches.
